Journey to Interior Design

I’ve always had an attraction to Art and Design, and the field of decorating and interior design. Although, my initial education after high school was in the field of business management, the desire was still there to become an interior designer. It was not until I travelled on a 4 – month trip across and around the world did I realize that studying architecture and design was the appropriate career path for me. Traveling abroad and seeing the many different and creative monumental and historical state of the art architecture inspired me to make the big career change. Looking at the beautiful structures and homes across the world allowed me to realize that the role of designing spaces plays a huge important role in our lives and our general level of happiness.

I am an interior designer who is confident and someone who keeps my uniqueness but yet keeps a formal vibe. As a Design Professional, I am someone who is very easy going but yet I like to ask questions and be in the loop no matter how big or small the task is. In up-coming projects I would like to design a space that gives the space its own identity reflecting the elements and personal story combined. Designing a space is a reality in a sense where it takes people into your imagination represented into a design and it takes more than just drafting, it takes passion. For the past 3 years, I have learned the main key elements how each conveys into a space using textures, shapes and balance. In addition, I have learned how to effectively apply color and light in an area for it to be pleasing and potentially eye-catching.
